Who is Granitemoon Studios?
Granitemoon is a husband and wife team of Cory Peterman and Sharla Peterman
joined
by 2 other professional videographers. We have been
producing professional wedding films for about
7 years full time. Cory originally started the business as a
partnership with Rick Koetter who occasionally still helps with the
filming.
Will I watch my Wedding Film more than
once?
Our couples tell us they watch their videos over and over. Our
Wedding Films are filled with emotion and fun. It will be
treasured by family and friends for generations. Check out our
testimonials page
to see what our clients are saying.
How visible are you to
my guests during the wedding day?
We conduct ourselves in a very professional unobtrusive manner while
still getting all the beautiful shots we need. Most couples and
guests comment after the wedding that they didn't even know we were
there most of time and couldn't believe the shots we captured.
How well do you work with the
photographer?
We enjoy spending the day with the photographer while each of us
captures your wedding day in our own way. We understand the
importance of still photography and respect their space. When we
first arrive on location, we meet with the photographer and get to know
each other. Most of the time we are already acquaintances from a
previous wedding.
How is the sound recorded?
We take great pride in the quality of sound we capture. During
the ceremony we will connect directly to the facility's sound system to
get a direct feed of all the mics. We also put a digital recorder
on the groom to capture your vows. Additional mics may also be
placed near musicians or soloists.
What type of
equipment do you use?
We utilize the latest 3 chip digital cameras and non-linear editing
computers. We also use digital audio recording devices at ceremonies and
receptions when needed.
Will you be shooting
and editing the video?
Yes, we have 2 lead videographers who shoot the weddings. In
addition, we have 2 professional assistants who may
work with one of us at your event.
How will you dress to
our wedding?
We are dressed in a professional looking dark attire to blend in
with your guests and not be noticed.
Do you use lighting?
Lights are never used at a ceremony. We only occasionally use
small, on-camera lighting during the dance when the lights are very low.
Most people don't even notice because the dj also has lights.
Do you have back-ups in
case of equipment failure?
All on-site equipment has a back-up available so it can be replaced
without interruption.
Can we select music to
use in the editing process?
You may choose special songs to be used as background music and
for the main highlight portion of the DVD.
Do you include all of
the footage taken the day of my event?
You will receive an edited version of the footage which will include
most of what was recorded. We also offer the original unedited raw
footage as an option.
How soon can we expect
to receive our DVD?
It is not uncommon to spend over 40 hours creating your wedding
documentary. Because of this, the return time will be between 4-8
weeks, depending on the season.
